Mischa Barton’s friends were worried she was suicidal, it has been claimed. Pals close to ‘The O.C.’ actress - who was sectioned on Wednesday (15.07.09) after being placed under a 5150 hold, which means she poses a danger to herself or others - were convinced she would try to commit suicide unless they forced her to get help.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: “She’s in very bad shape. She’s running out of money and can’t find love, so now she is looking for a good time to escape her misery. She is on a downward spiral. She is a mess. She is a suicidal, uninsurable mess.”

Under a 5150 hold order a person can only be held for up to 72 hours, but doctors can ask for an additional 14-day hold if they believe it is warranted.

The 23-year-old actress was taken to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation, with her publicist Craig Schneider recently confirming she is still at the hospital.

Mischa didn’t even attend the New York premiere of her new movie ‘Homecoming’ on Thursday, friends recently claimed she was on a “destructive path” of drug use, and think it will take her a long time to fully recover.

“She is a tortured and troubled person. You can survive a bad review, but when you don’t show up for the premiere of your new film, it’s not a good sign of where your career is heading.”

Well, I was wondering where Mischa was recently and I guess I know now! I’m sure the pressure of Hollywood is more than the average person can understand or handle, but I dont’ know if these stars could handle the pressures of life in the “Real World”! Hope she screws her head back on soon enough to save her career, if Britney did it she can, but then again Britney actually had a fan base to begin with!

Paris Jackson wanted to give her father something to remind him of her as he rests in peace. Michael Jackson’s grieving daughter wrapped a heart shaped necklace around his wrist as his body lay in an open coffin last Monday.

La Toya Jackson, who witnessed the heartbreaking act during the family’s private viewing said “Paris told me, ‘The heart is in two pieces. I want one half to go to daddy and I will wear the other half forever.’

“She carefully wrapped it around his wrist and said, ‘Daddy this is for you. On daddy, it will be blue because he is cold. On me, it’s purple. He’s so cold, he is so cold.”

Paris bought the necklace - which changes colour according to temperature - after Michael died of a suspected cardiac arrest last month and she wore it when she made her emotional tribute to him at his memorial service last Tuesday”

As well as the jewellery, Paris also got some coloured stones to decorate her dad’s body with.

This teared me up when I read it, I miss Michael, we all do, but no one more than his family (minus Joe).

Britney poasted these new pics via her Twitter account…the picture above is from Britney’s newest ad campaign with Candies. Those shoes aren’t anything out of this world, but Britt looks cute - in a photo shopped kind of way.

The photo’s below are from Britney’s concert in Copenhagen on July 11, I read today that Brit has gained 12 pounds in a month, but from what I see that’s a crock of shhhhhhhhhh. She looks good and after the hell she’s been through the media should just let her have this one.

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have been dating since November 2007 and now it’s a wrap. They called it quits the day before Jessica’s 29th birthday (ouch!)

A source told divine.ca “She is heartbroken. She loves Tony, but it’s been difficult lately. He’s busy with his career and she’s getting ready to shoot her show “The Price of Beauty“. They’ve decided to part ways. They were good for a long time, but it wasn’t meant to be.” Another source claims “They go from one fight to another, without a second break. It’s always something with Jessica.”

Jessica had been planning a Barbie and Ken themed party, but took to her Twitter page to let us know “Barbie party didn’t happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling I love getting older!”

A source added she cancelled her party because of this, but she’s doing ok.

Well, I just hope she doesn’t resort to her hard partying ways like she did after dating Jhon Mayer - not a good look. I love Jessica, but maybe she just needs to focus on her career for a while.

This weekend Frankie (Keyshia Cole’s mother) let the city of Atlanta know that she’s now engaged to her boyfriend Lamon (whom she calls ‘Mon’)

When Frankie arrived at the bike show she immediately ran up to The Dream, who was on the mic, and shouted HOLLA!! From what I heard, Dream had an expression of ‘WTF?’ on his face when it happened.

The New York Daily News is quoting an “insider’ who says Beyonce has told photographers not to shoot her from behind during her “I Am…Sasha Fierce” tour because of a presperation problem. “Beyonce’s costumes are so tiny and her choreography is so complicated that inevitably she sweats, it looks pretty gross, so no one is allowed to shoot her from that particular angle anymore.” - Hey I don’t blame you B, I wouldn’t want unflattering pics making headlines all over the world either!

On another note…Beyonce and her b/g leave night spot Hyde in LA after partying it up with her sister Solange. B’s bodyguard Julius is a hottie, agreed?

The original was intended as a duet with longtime rival Prince - you can hear some of that tension in the lyrics. Quincy Jones said that Prince told Jackson that he didn’t want to be a part of the song because “it would be a hit without (him)”

Jackson wrote about the meaning of Bad in his 1988 autobiography Moonwalk: “Bad” is a song about the street. It’s about this kid from a bad neighbourhood who gets to go away to a private school. He comes back to the old neighbourhood when he’s on break from school and the kids start giving him trouble. He sing, “I’m bad, you’re bad, who’s bad, who’s the best?
