Mischa Barton’s friends were worried she was suicidal, it has been claimed. Pals close to ‘The O.C.’ actress - who was sectioned on Wednesday (15.07.09) after being placed under a 5150 hold, which means she poses a danger to herself or others - were convinced she would try to commit suicide unless they forced her to get help.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: “She’s in very bad shape. She’s running out of money and can’t find love, so now she is looking for a good time to escape her misery. She is on a downward spiral. She is a mess. She is a suicidal, uninsurable mess.”

Under a 5150 hold order a person can only be held for up to 72 hours, but doctors can ask for an additional 14-day hold if they believe it is warranted.

The 23-year-old actress was taken to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation, with her publicist Craig Schneider recently confirming she is still at the hospital.

Mischa didn’t even attend the New York premiere of her new movie ‘Homecoming’ on Thursday, friends recently claimed she was on a “destructive path” of drug use, and think it will take her a long time to fully recover.

“She is a tortured and troubled person. You can survive a bad review, but when you don’t show up for the premiere of your new film, it’s not a good sign of where your career is heading.”

Well, I was wondering where Mischa was recently and I guess I know now! I’m sure the pressure of Hollywood is more than the average person can understand or handle, but I dont’ know if these stars could handle the pressures of life in the “Real World”! Hope she screws her head back on soon enough to save her career, if Britney did it she can, but then again Britney actually had a fan base to begin with!

So you’ve all heard of Bruno, the ad’s are everywhere, but just in case you’ve been living under a garbage can (and if you actually are - no disrespect) here’s a little info. about the flick;

Bruno’s another mockumentary comedy film produced, co-written and starring Sacha Baron Cohen. His character is a flamboyant gay Australian fashion journalist Bruno who is in the US. The film was originally rated NC 17 (which is movie death) , but was reduced to an R rating after universal deleted additional sexually explicit scenes.

Underlying all these gags - the funny, the crude, the funny and crude - is a hard truth: Flagrant gay behavior drives a lot of heteros insane. To be honest, I’m not in my comfort zone watching two guys tongue it out, but at least I know the problem is mine, not theirs - to each his own. When the hushed, Brokeback Mountain came out so many people announced they couldn’t bear to watch such abominations. To them - and to those who’ll see Bruno because it’s the latest gross-out comedy sensation - Baron Cohen is basically proclaiming, “Suck on this!” and I totally agree, get over it. If Brokeback was about lesbians no one would have had an issue.

Heath Ledger…I loved him! Did anyone see him in Candy? AMAZING movie if you get the chance to see it?

Racing car driver Kim Ledger (Heath’s father) blames Heath - who died of an accidental overdosed on prescription drugs, January 2008 - for his own death because he did not care to monitor his medication properly.

“We’re all responsible for what goes into us and I blame Heath for not being responsible.”- Kim

At the time of his death, it is believed the actor was mixing medication prescribed to him by three different doctor (sound familiar?).

Kim has admitted Heath’s family - mother Sally, sister Kate and half-sister Olivia - had been affected by the news Michael Jackson had died from a suspected cardiac arrest possibly caused by an accidental prescription drug overdose.

Kim told Australia’s Women’s Day magazine: “On the day that Michael died I spoke to my daughters and former wife Sally and we all had such a down day.”

“It’s not for me to advise the Jackson family how to get through this, but what I will say is the saddest times are now, one-and-a-half years later. The media interest has died down, so I’m no longer surrounded by Heath and all I want to do is pick up the phone, but I can’t.”

This same story just keeps happening over and over again, seriously will it ever end? I’m going to answer my own question here and say “No - money talks louder than death.”

I was going to start writing about how I don’t understand why everyone thinks he’s so sexy, but then I saw the GQ pic…I got it…and then it was gone. I don’t get it?
