Below is a short story from the underground Urban author, D. Consti. Luckily, I get buddy benefits and I’ll be featuring installments of the stories on a regular basis. The ‘Calm before the Storm’ series is about an exotic dancer and all of the crazy happenings of her underground lifestyle. With each story you learn more and more about what makes the character Jasmin tick.

     Pacing in my  living room I pull my hoodie over my head and blast some angry hip-hip vibes to go along with my raging psyche.

Simone just called me and let me know Precious was waiting after work last night with a team of Hispanics ready to jump me - For whatever reason I didn’t make it in last night, truth be told I was too lazy from the three blunts Paro and I smoked the night before while watching the fight.

“What the fuck?! I don’t even know this girl, how can she have beef?” I’d honestly only seen Precious around the club, I never gave her any kind of thought - If I had to think about her I’d say she’s crackahs -  It’s not her looks that make her ugly to me, but her personality. Every time I see this girl walking around it seems like she just tasted something funny, she’s short with long hair dark hair and a lil’ Kim pre-op body. Simone interrupts my thoughts which are scanning for some form of confrontation Precious and I might have had;

“Jasmin! So what are you going to do?!”

“Well, what the fuck am I supposed to do? This girl had ten odd people waiting to jump me last night! It’s war yo,  I’m putting on my hoodie and track pants as we speak.” At this point I really didn’t have a choice, if this girl tried to fuck me up, I better show her who the fuck I am before she tries again.

See I’m an exotic dancer by profession, once a young woman with so much promise who took the wrong paths too many times and landed myself at the ‘Rocket Launcher’ with a six night paid schedule spot - My stage shows that good. I can honestly compare working in a club to being in jail (although I’ve never actually been locked up). If you let someone punk you in that joint there’s no going back, you’ll get punked and stomped on every day after that. The story of how I got here is based on the minute details as well as obvious one’s, either way I’m about to walk into a battlefield filled with horny men, half naked women, booze and drugs.

I call my driver and ask him to pick me up at nine tonight, enough time to get ready, listen to some more hype music, have a drink and get into fight mode. I didn’t even bother to call all my girls to let them know what was about to go down. Precious might have needed an army to deal with me, but I see myself as a General - I can put her down solo.

When I hoped into Drew’s car he knew something was up because I’m usually bubbly and chatty on the way to work - I’m one of the only girls who laughs at his lame jokes and doesn’t make fun of his Hungarian accent. Tonight was different thought, I was in the zone thinking; “What’s my plan of attack? Should I confront her in front of all of the customers? She’s bigger than me, even if it’s just fat, am I gonna get the shit kicked out of me?” I quickly push the thoughts of defeat out of my mind by thinking of all the times I held it down, in high-school I was jumped by two girls at the same time and my 115 pound ass dealt with them both!

Ten minutes later we pull up at the ‘Rocket Launcher’, I give Drew the fifteen bucks for the ride, look out of the window for any shady characters and hop out of the car.  Drew speeds away before I even have the door fully closed, other girls to pick up and money on his mind. Mischa Barton’s friends were worried she was suicidal, it has been claimed. Pals close to ‘The O.C.’ actress - who was sectioned on Wednesday (15.07.09) after being placed under a 5150 hold, which means she poses a danger to herself or others - were convinced she would try to commit suicide unless they forced her to get help.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: “She’s in very bad shape. She’s running out of money and can’t find love, so now she is looking for a good time to escape her misery. She is on a downward spiral. She is a mess. She is a suicidal, uninsurable mess.”

Under a 5150 hold order a person can only be held for up to 72 hours, but doctors can ask for an additional 14-day hold if they believe it is warranted.

The 23-year-old actress was taken to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation, with her publicist Craig Schneider recently confirming she is still at the hospital.

Mischa didn’t even attend the New York premiere of her new movie ‘Homecoming’ on Thursday, friends recently claimed she was on a “destructive path” of drug use, and think it will take her a long time to fully recover.

“She is a tortured and troubled person. You can survive a bad review, but when you don’t show up for the premiere of your new film, it’s not a good sign of where your career is heading.”

Well, I was wondering where Mischa was recently and I guess I know now! I’m sure the pressure of Hollywood is more than the average person can understand or handle, but I dont’ know if these stars could handle the pressures of life in the “Real World”! Hope she screws her head back on soon enough to save her career, if Britney did it she can, but then again Britney actually had a fan base to begin with!

Last year, I was down in FL with my girlfriend, we were visiting our other girlfriend who had recently moved down there (we are from NY), and she said she new this hot club she could get us into. She is a big talker, so I wasn’t really expecting much, but when we got there, and got in, shit was cash. This place was bumping, and I was pleasantly surprised and looking forward to a fun night. It’s about 1 a.m., I’ve had a few drinks, but I’m not wasted, and my friend pointed out this kinda short, rough looking kid and said it was Aaron Carter. Now I knew the backstreet boys and nick carter, obviously, but I didn’t know too much about this kid other than that song he did about beating Shaq. YEA RIGHT So anyway, I am feelin pretty good, my friend thinks it will be funny if we go talk to him, so we casually move closer to where he is chillin with his crew (who btw were tore up, forreal). He is kinda short, but he’s got a lil swag, and I’m feeling adventurous, so I smile at him, start giving him the eye. After a few minutes, he sends one of his goons over to ask me and my friend to come over and chill with them. At this point, the friend who got us into the club disappeared with some dude, and we were bored with the other guys around, so we said what the fuck and joined them. As soon as we sat down with them, he starts spittin’ game, talking about his music and how he is working on some new shit. He a little dumb, but he was charming, and looked sexier up close (this was also probably thanks to the alcohol, because when I Google a picture now, damn.) We hang out for another hour or so, and he is definitely into me, and my friend knows what’s up, so I’m ready to bust outta the damn club any second now. Finally he asks if I wanna get out of there, and I say yes. (more…)

This is supposedly what started Mike’s obsession with Plastic Surgery and pain killers. This is tough to watch, poor thing…makes you wonder, if this never happened what could have been?

As well as the jewellery, Paris also got some coloured stones to decorate her dad’s body with.

This teared me up when I read it, I miss Michael, we all do, but no one more than his family (minus Joe).
